Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul routes across Illinois and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges
- Operate electronic logging systems (ELD) and communicate via satellite technology
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety-first practices
