Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes within Illinois and surrounding states.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance before and after each shift.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Secure freight properly using straps, chains, and cargo bars to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery records as per DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and ensure satisfaction with delivery times and handling.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License: Must be held and current.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Medical Certification: Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
- Clean Record: No major moving violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
