Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and legal manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklift, straps, etc.).
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records (DOT compliant).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers.
- Report mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card or willingness to obtain one.
- Clear driving record (MVR check) and no disqualifying violations.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Willingness to travel and work between the Dallas, TX and Georgia regions.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
