Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules and optimize routes for timely arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Document delivery details and resolve route discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area traffic patterns and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic navigation systems
