Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across North Carolina and surrounding regions
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel consumption
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of North Carolina traffic laws and regulations
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and route optimization abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
