Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with the necessary endorsements (Hazmat/Tankers a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and sitting for extended periods.
- Valid DOT Medical Card.
