Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate logs (electronic or paper) and records of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in excellent mechanical condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and road conditions.
