Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks, and accurate documentation
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using specialized equipment
- Optimize routes for efficiency while maintaining on-time delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all DOT requirements
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong knowledge of NC/SC/VA route networks and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
