Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on designated routes in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Represent Apex Logistics professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Strong commitment to safety and accident-free driving history.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and travel overnight if required.
