Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Deliver freight to diverse locations including warehouses, distribution centers, and retail outlets
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading operations using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining optimal route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight routes
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- High school diploma or equivalent required
