Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Pennsylvania and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Uphold company safety protocols and complete required training modules
- Manage paperwork including delivery confirmations and mileage logs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Philadelphia metro area and regional highways
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Previous hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
