Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR, ELD) and all required shipping documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and route plans to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates and delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Current, valid Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record with no recent major violations (DUI, reckless driving).
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement procedures.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the road.
