Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in and around the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Verify cargo against bills of lading and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Provide exceptional customer service during stops and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen on file.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no recent DUIs or major violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience preferred for Part-Time roles.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
