Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently according to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Handle paperwork accurately, including bills of lading and delivery logs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Current and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Residence within the New York metropolitan area preferred.
