Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) to transport goods within Northern California
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records per DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Coordinate with dispatchers for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo with securement protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California routes and traffic patterns
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
- Flexible schedule including weekends and early mornings
