Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local, regional, and over-the-road routes.
- Inspect vehicle prior to and following each trip to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (state requirements vary).
- Must possess a clean driving record and be insurable.
- No professional driving experience required; we train qualified candidates.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
