Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to transport cargo across the region and beyond.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety standards and DOT regulations are met.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secure and damage-free.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B (or willingness to obtain one through our training program).
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring loads.
- Ability to pass a physical exam demonstrating the physical stamina required for long-haul driving.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
