Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with FMCSA and company regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety, time management, and customer service.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and cash handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
