Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles within DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and mileage records
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading stops
- Adapt to varying delivery schedules and route conditions
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification updates
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route execution
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's Permit (CDL) or ability to obtain during training
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for weight calculations and documentation
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- No experience required – training provided for qualified candidates
