Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/trailers) during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight across designated routes with on-time delivery accuracy
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload cargo with precision using appropriate equipment
- Document all transportation activities and incidents accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Atlanta metro routes and Virginia corridor
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for occasional weekend shifts
