Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Execute multi-stop delivery routes with precise timing and accuracy
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch teams using GPS tracking systems
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Complete delivery documentation and customer communication protocols
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 1 year experience
- Clean MVR record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Night shift availability and proven endurance for overnight driving
- Strong knowledge of Virginia/Florida highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- HAZMAT certification preferred (training provided)
- Basic navigation and smartphone proficiency
