Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across Washington DC metropolitan area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Document delivery logs, fuel receipts, and incident reports accurately
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and zero-tolerance policy for violations
- Support warehouse operations during loading/unloading when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic patterns and regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
