Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Complete all necessary DOT logs, delivery receipts, and paperwork accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat and Tanker preferred but not required).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
