Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently operate Class A or B trucks to deliver freight on time and within company guidelines.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of the vehicle's mechanical condition and cargo to ensure safety and compliance before and after each shift.
- Cargo Handling: Securely load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring goods arrive in perfect condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including logs (DOT), bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all FMCSA regulations, company policies, and traffic laws to maintain a clean driving record.
- Communication: Interact professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members to resolve issues and update delivery statuses.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
- Endorsements: Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and any required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past 3 years.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
