Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road safety.
- Deliver freight to designated customer locations within the Raleigh area and surrounding regions.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to work night shift hours (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor duties.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Must pass a DOT physical examination.
