Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) on designated routes within the Portland area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documentation.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo safety and protection from damage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT drug screening clearance.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks during night shifts.
- Must reside within or be willing to commute to the Portland, OR area.
