Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers and semi-trucks safely and efficiently on highways and local roads.
- Load and unload cargo while adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status and delivery times.
- Uphold a professional image at all times while representing Apex Transport.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (Required).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to work night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM).
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
