Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated routes throughout the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and cargo integrity.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws, as well as DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or cargo issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Louisiana.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be available to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of cargo securement and safety protocols.
