Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate efficiently through various routes, including those to Florida and cross-country destinations.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required (CDL Class B may be considered for specific roles).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM or similar).
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs during loading/unloading.
