Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes during overnight shifts
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance documentation
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and route optimization technology
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams for seamless cargo operations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Respond proactively to weather and traffic conditions during night operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work independently in overnight environments (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices and route planning software
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
