Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for overnight cargo transport across Florida and Southeast corridors
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Accurately document delivery logs, mileage reports, and cargo manifests
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to strict delivery time windows
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and real-time updates
- Secure cargo and handle specialized freight as per company standards
- Participate in monthly safety training and equipment familiarization sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Pass background check and drug screening (mandatory)
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with occasional weekends
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
