Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on designated routes throughout the Kansas City metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clear background check.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
