Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on designated routes in and around Jacksonville, FL.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and professional driving record while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company's commitment to safety and customer satisfaction at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Experience in flatbed or dry van operations is highly preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy cargo and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
