Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely on highways, including long-haul routes to Portland, OR and regional Texas destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Texas.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts and weekend overtime as required.
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
