Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery throughout the Bay Area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous pre/post-trip inspection records
- Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet tight delivery schedules
- Secure and unload freight with precision while maintaining warehouse safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance needs proactively
- Represent Pacific Coast Transport with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and Bay Area geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM) with weekends as needed
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
