Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on designated routes in and around Fort Worth and the surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate) must be on file.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and climb in and out of the cab frequently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
