Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Vehicles: Transport freight across designated regional routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with FMCSA standards.
- Load Securing: Properly secure cargo using straps and chains to prevent damage during transit.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate logs using ELDs and complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Customer Relations: Deliver goods professionally and interact courteously with customers and dock personnel.
- Compliance Adherence: Strictly follow company policies regarding Hours of Service (HOS) and weight limits.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Clean Driving Record: No more than one moving violation in the last 3 years and no DUIs.
- Endorsements: Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) and Tanker endorsements are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience required.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy.
