Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or B vehicles on assigned routes and schedules.
- Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of freight.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and well-maintained throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical card) on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work night shifts independently.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
