Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks and trailers on assigned routes in the Columbus, GA area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B (Georgia or equivalent state) license required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT compliant).
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia roadways and local traffic patterns.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
