Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DCD) and all required documentation, including HOS and delivery receipts.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns, adapting to weather conditions and road closures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal traffic laws.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (10-12 hours).
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and handheld scanners.
