Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and delivery documentation to ensure DOT compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to strict time schedules and route planning to ensure on-time delivery.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to keep the fleet in top condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
