Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight deliveries
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload shipments using pallet jacks and forklift training provided
- Navigate San Francisco's complex urban terrain with GPS precision
- Communicate with dispatch team via mobile devices for real-time routing updates
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and HAZMAT handling procedures
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of CA transportation regulations and city street layouts
- Pass DOT physical and substance screening
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Overnight shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic forklift certification or willingness to obtain
