Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight deliveries across Kentucky and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Load/unload freight with precision, ensuring secure handling of diverse cargo types
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route adjustments
- Adapt to dynamic schedules and weather conditions while maintaining on-time performance
- Represent Louisville Logistics Solutions with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience with night shift background
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and basic navigation systems
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 7 PM - 5 AM) with variable schedules
- Pass background check and drug screening per company policy
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
