Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery across Ohio and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Accurately maintain electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all safety protocols
- Adapt to dynamic routes and weather conditions during nighttime operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency with GPS and electronic logging devices
