Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) on overnight routes across New York metropolitan area
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs in compliance with DOT regulations
- Handle time-sensitive freight deliveries with precision and professionalism
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Secure and unload cargo at various commercial and residential locations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices at all times
- Assist in vehicle maintenance coordination and minor repairs when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and overnight delivery logistics
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work variable overnight schedules (typically 9 PM - 5 AM)
