Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while navigating Louisiana's diverse terrain and weather conditions
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Handle specialized cargo including refrigerated and hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Louisiana highway systems and port operations
- HazMat endorsement preferred
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible schedules
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
