Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper equipment handling
- Plan optimal routes using GPS systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding shipment status and delays
- Ensure cargo security and proper documentation for all shipments
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat materials (preferred but not required)
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of Memphis metro area
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Must be 23 years or older
