Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and cargo securement standards.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily logs, including Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and mapping tools to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery issues.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate commerce.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle cargo straps/bands.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Must have a satisfactory background check and MVR review.
