Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD/DOT) and complete all necessary delivery and receipt paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere to strict DOT compliance standards regarding hours of service and drug and alcohol testing.
- Represent the company professionally at all times while on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Must be at least 21 years old (DOT age requirement).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Current Medical Card and negative drug screen results.
- Strong navigation skills and the ability to work independently.
