Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding load status, delivery schedules, and potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Mec) or DOT card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and cargo handling.
